When we begin, our first idea is always the material.
Design is not about form or surface - it is about space and material.
Not the language of the designer, but the language of material itself.
Ultimately, materiality is what gives a space its voice.
MATERIAL LANGUAGE.
Transparency -Acrylic space-
The project minimizes the visual pressure of a compact space by reducing unnecessary finishes and allowing its structure and functions to remain visible.
A 15 mm transparent acrylic floor is set over a steel grid, revealing the pipes and building services beneath while maintaining the necessary raised floor for drainage. Its high transparency reduces the visual weight of the floor and ceiling, creating a greater sense of openness and spatial depth.
The workspaces, counters, and custom furniture continue the same language of thin structures and transparent acrylic, allowing structure, furniture, and display to overlap as one composition. At the ceiling, transparent service pipes integrate with linear lighting, transforming concealed infrastructure into an element of light and space.
Rather than hiding structure and services, the project exposes them—creating a space where structure, function, light, and display coexist.
