THE DUCT
This design aims to reveal typically hidden industrial elements to bring out a new spatial charm. By boldly incorporating rectangular ducts, the space evokes the feel of rooftop mechanical and equipment rooms, with the ducts forming the structure of furniture such as tables, benches, and counters. The texture of galvanized zinc, with its coldness and light-reflecting depth, accentuates the industrial atmosphere. The hard metal ducts snake through the entire space, creating soft movements despite their rigidity. The glossy surface of the ducts blends functionality with a sense of luxury, adding dynamic movement throughout the space while reinforcing the overall unity of the design.Using rectangular ducts, the space is designed to evoke rooftop mechanical and equipment rooms, with furniture like tables, benches, and counters constructed from them.
